I love how you remind me of home sweet home.

Fancy "Premium" beer no less.

Home must be a very nice place.

Oh nice. :) I love this photo. Makes me think of all those nights around a campfire drinking some of the worst beer in the world just because it was what was there.

(Not saying this isn't high quality beer or anything, just saying that a picture of a can like this makes me think of times like that. Okay, I'm just going to shut up now.)

Um, Wombat, IF you consider Cleveland a nice place, and I do of course...
It's made in Rochester, New York but I just remember seeing Genesee in all the stores and on trucks. I never would see it unless I was back east but some of the liquor stores do sell it here in Oklahoma now and I think TBC and I or sis and hub buy up ALL of their stock when it comes in. AHAHAHAHA!

Amanda, you are too funny! Um, it's not the worst and I think it's pretty good but I have tasted better. But the nostalgia factor really ups its value..... :)

I think that a good beer is 100% made up from it's nostalgia factor, Circe. Explain to me why else in the world Schmidt's would be MY favorite?! (With the Beast and Moose Drool right up there...)

Being an Aussie, Circe, it's fair to say I have yet to meet a beer I didn't instantly fall in love with.

There was a time I was in Bombay, however, when a particular brew called Haywards 5000 required digging deep in the intestinal fortitude stakes.

Still, it was better than the Indian whiskey.
