Thank you for posting the photo.
It's hard when you see people you've known since freshman year of high school going to war. She's a single mom, so this has been especially tough on their whole family.
She's been stationed in Germany for the past couple of years, and her daughter was born over there. It's been a pretty rough transition.
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it. Please let her know how much I appreciate her service and her sacrifices.

Hey! did you email her and let her know the pics up? I havent seen this one before, was this when she was home for that week?
I haven't told her about the photo yet: I took this one the day I spent with her and the kids while she was home leaving them with her parents, yes.
I talked to her mom this morning and will actually be sending her a package and some cards and stuff for her birthday. I'm going to print off the messages and stuff and let her know that other people appreciate what she's doing as well.
